Talk to us about staffing or training
The care sector is one of the most regulated, most scrutinised and most demanding professional environments in the UK. Whether you are a carer just starting out, an organisation looking to upskill your team, or a care home or NHS trust in urgent need of reliable temporary cover, the baseline requirement is always the same: the right training, properly delivered, with valid certification that stands up to CQC inspection.
Too many care workers and organisations have had poor experiences with training companies that cut corners, issue certificates that do not hold up to scrutiny, or deliver sessions that are rushed and impractical. Too many care providers have also been let down by staffing agencies that send underprepared candidates at the last minute.
Seren Healthcare Solutions exists to do both training and staffing properly. We train our own staff to the standard we hold ourselves to, and offer the same training to external organisations who need it done right. Every candidate we place has been through that same standard.

With Seren's care home in Newport, we will be able to retain staff more easily and offer staff development. We have a cohort of fifteen trainee leaders in our academy for emerging leaders.
Our Care Training Programmes
All Seren training is delivered face-to-face, with virtual options available. Every course is practical, CQC-verified, certificated, recognised by the CQC and accredited by care employers across the UK.
Mandatory core training, the essential qualifications:

Recognising seizure types, emergency response, rescue medication administration and post-ictal care, essential for staff supporting individuals with epilepsy at home or in supported living.

Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy care, administration of feeds, site care, troubleshooting and recognising complications in community and home settings.

Understanding the progression of MND, managing complex physical needs, communication support and end-of-life care planning for those with motor neurone disease.

Person-centred approaches, PBS principles, communication strategies and supporting individuals with behaviours that challenge, aligned with the Transforming Care agenda.

Safe management of home ventilation, including equipment checks, circuit management, responding to alarms and emergency protocols for ventilator-dependent clients.

Understanding mental health conditions, supporting individuals in crisis, de-escalation techniques and working alongside clinical teams in community mental health settings.

Seren Healthcare's training is available to our own staff and to external organisations and individuals across the UK who need face-to-face care qualifications they can trust.

We hear this often. The most common frustrations are rushed delivery, overly theoretical content, and certification that doesn't hold up when inspectors or employers scrutinise it. Seren's training is face-to-face, practically grounded, and results in valid CPD-certified certification that is recognised by the CQC and accepted by employers across the UK. We train our own staff to this standard — so we have every reason to make sure it is rigorous.
Yes. All Seren training certifications are CPD-certified, fully compliant with CQC requirements and aligned with the Skills for Care Core and Mandatory Training Framework. They are accepted by care providers, NHS trusts and regulatory bodies. You will not be asked to repeat training you have completed with us.
Yes — specialist clinical training is a particular strength of Seren's programme. We deliver face-to-face training for epilepsy management, motor neurone disease, ventilator care, PEG feeding, learning disabilities, autism and mental health — the complex, clinical skills that most generic training providers do not offer. If you need staff trained in a specific specialist area, contact us and we will confirm what is available.
