Enhancing lives because we genuinely care

We are a specialist home care and home health care company built on more than two decades of frontline NHS experience, a deep passion for quality, and an unwavering commitment to the people we serve.

Home care and home health care services built around the individual

We provide home help care services, live-in care, complex care, supported living, domiciliary care and clinical staffing — across Wales and England. Every service we offer is person-centred, planned, proactive and coordinated. Nothing is off-the-shelf and nothing is rushed.

Built from the inside of healthcare, not the outside looking in

Our mission is to be a compassionate, nurse-led organisation delivering exceptional standards of care that bring assurance and peace of mind to improve quality of life and independence.

Excellence. Compassion. Continuous Learning. Loyalty. Interdependence and Person Centred Care.

Three commitments that are not aspirations, they are standards we hold ourselves to in every interaction, with every client, on every visit.

Quality in everything we do

From clinical governance and audit systems to the smallest act of daily care, quality is not a box we tick. It is the standard we set, maintain and continuously improve through feedback, partnership and rigorous self-assessment.

Enabling through equality and inclusion

Every person we support has the right to be treated with dignity, to have their differences valued, and to live as independently as they choose. Our home carers are trained to support that right, practically and consistently.

Compassionate as a practice

Compassionate care is not a characteristic, it is a practice, revealed in the smallest acts of kindness. We recruit people who are naturally caring and train them to express that in every visit, every conversation and every decision.

Our Vision

To become the most trusted insight-driven care group providing twenty-five million hours per year of nurse-led care across the United Kingdom.

Stellah (Chinamo) Mensah:
Founder of Seren Healthcare Solutions

Our Founder

Stellah Chinamo Mensah is an award-winning serial entrepreneur, Registered Mental Health Nurse and the Founder, CEO and Responsible Individual of Seren Healthcare Solutions. Her experience spans more than 25 years in health and social care, including over 20 years in senior leadership roles. She brings together clinical expertise, governance knowledge, operational leadership and a deeply personal commitment to improving the experience of care for individuals and families.

Stellah founded Seren Healthcare Solutions in Newport in 2020 following the tragic loss of her mother. This experience gave her a profound insight into the difference that compassionate, reliable and genuine person-centred care, can make at the most difficult times in a family’s life. It strengthened her determination to build a care organisation that families could trust: one where people are treated with dignity, staff feel valued, and care is delivered with both kindness and clinical excellence.

Her career began in frontline nursing and has developed through senior management, service development, quality assurance, regulation and leadership roles across the NHS and independent healthcare sector. She has also worked as a care-sector inspector, giving her a strong understanding of what safe, effective and well-led services look like in practice. Stellah holds an Executive MBA in Health Services Management, ILM Level 5 Leadership and Management, and the Registered Managers Award/NVQ Level 4.

Under her leadership, Seren has grown into a nurse-led provider of domiciliary care, complex care and supported living across Wales and England, regulated by Care Inspectorate Wales and the Care Quality Commission. The organisation supports older people, individuals with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities and complex health needs to live safely, independently and confidently in their own homes and communities.

Stellah’s vision extends beyond care delivery. In May 2026, she launched the Seren Healthcare Franchise Network: the UK’s governance-led, nurse-led care franchise network. Through a structured model of clinical oversight, quality assurance, training, inspection readiness, leadership development and ongoing mentoring, she is creating a route for values-aligned leaders to establish high-quality Seren services in communities across the UK—without compromising the standards, culture or person-centred approach on which Seren was built.

She also founded the Seren Foundation in honour of her father, Douglas Chinamo, and inspired by his journey with prostate cancer. The Foundation promotes hope, compassion, dignity, awareness and early intervention, while supporting families and communities affected by prostate cancer. Its workplaces particular importance on encouraging open conversations about screening and improving awareness among Black men and other underserved communities.

Community service and faith are central to Stellah’s life and leadership. She actively supports local community work through Warehouse Church, particularly its work with young people; the Anglican Church through community events and initiatives; and Faith in God Ministries through its outreach work. Stellah also provides support to disabled individuals who would otherwise be unable to afford university fees, through a scholarship fund created in honour of her late mother, Elizabeth Chinamo.

For Stellah, this work is a practical expression of her faith and her belief that lasting change is achieved when businesses, families, faith communities and local organisations work together. She is passionate about raising standards in care, developing confident and compassionate leaders, and creating opportunities for the workforce.

Her ambition is to build The Seren Group into a lasting healthcare and social-impact organisation: combining exceptional care, leadership development, responsible franchise growth and meaningful community impact. Her leadership is guided by Seren’s ECCLIP values: Excellence, Compassion, Continuous Learning, Loyalty, Interdependence and Person-Centred Care.

Beyond Seren, Stellah is a devoted wife and proud mother. Family, faith and community remain at the heart of who she is and continue to shape her compassionate, people-centred approach to leadership. She is a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment and for underprivileged people, championing access to opportunity, education, leadership and support for those whose voices are too often overlooked. Stellah is also a mentor, executive coach and community-minded entrepreneur, committed to creating a legacy that improves lives, strengthens families and inspires the next generation of leaders.

What families and organisations ask us most

How do I know Seren's home carers are genuinely skilled — not just available?

Every Seren carer is handpicked, DBS-checked, rigorously trained and supported by a named clinical lead. Our founder is a practising senior nurse — which means clinical standards are set from the top and held at every level. We do not fill rotas; we build care teams. Families consistently tell us that the quality and warmth of our home carers is the thing that surprises them most.

Is Seren Healthcare regulated and inspected?

Yes. We are fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Our clinical governance processes, recruitment practices and care standards are all subject to independent assessment. We welcome inspection because we are confident in what it will find.

Can Seren really provide home help care services for complex needs — not just basic support?

Yes. Our clinical background means we are genuinely equipped for complex needs — including neurological conditions, brain and spinal injury, dementia, mental health, learning disabilities and end-of-life care. Our home health care services are not limited to personal care and housework. They extend to full clinical management, nurse-led oversight and specialist interventions.

How do I find home carers or home help near me through Seren?

We serve individuals, families and care organisations across South Wales and England, and our team will discuss your needs, carry out a thorough assessment and match you with the right support.
